Argonaut Airways Pilot Hat Badge

Miami, FL 1946-1964

Argonaut Airways was established in May 1946 by George Koehne as a low-fare infrequent passenger airline. The non-sked airline operated three Douglas DC-3s as well as Curtiss C-46 and Douglas DC-7 aircraft. The company was certified in January 1959 to fly these irregular services as a supplemental carrier and mainly operated on the New York-Miami-San Juan route as well as Miami-Key West. Their certificate was revoked for financial insufficiency.
